--(Cont'd From Front Page)-- The former open-wheel star surrendered his ride in the No. 84 Red Bull Toyota to Mike Skinner for five races earlier this year after failing to qualify at Daytona and Las Vegas and falling victim to a qualifying rainout at Fontana, Calif. Since returning to the car at Talladega, however, Allmendinger has raced the No. 84 back into the top 35 in owner points. "I have been contacted by a lot of teams," Allmendinger said Friday at Kansas Speedway. "We all know what's out there for rides. I definitely want to stay in Cup. I've got offers to go back to IndyCar possibly, but I've clawed and scratched way too long -- and felt like my life was ending so many times over the last year and a half -- that to finally get this and (run) up front, I don't want to give that up. "I'm definitely looking to stay here, and I think I will. We just have to find the right situation." Allmendinger will race Sunday at Kansas Speedway. Beyond that, he considers it likely he will be replaced either by Skinner or Red Bull driver Scott Speed, both of whom tested Red Bull Sprint Cup car at Lowe's Motor Speedway earlier this week, or a combination of the two.
