I need your help.

For those who have never visited, thanks for stopping by.

I have run this site by myself for over seven years now and financially it’s occasionally been the best of times and others the worst of times.

The ‘worst of times’ have been around for a while now and it threatens everything I’ve worked for seven days a week since 1999.

Through the years it’s been an up and down affair; some months I made enough on the site to pay for itself, other months I didn’t. Normally it would work itself out, but for the past few months it hasn’t and I’m now in danger of being forced to shut down.

Ironically while the income has gone down, the visitor count has gone up; this little old site now averages a million page views a month!

In 2007 I decided to dive into writing full time, and while I’ve been making enough to keep the lights on, barely, the extra income I once had to help keep the Cup Scene lights on just isn’t there. And while I am retired from the military, I’m still fighting to actually get my retirement (you should hear the story behind that!). So what little income I have right now is dedicated to paying the rent and feeding the kids. I can no longer devote any of it to the site.

That’s why I’m asking for your help.

I need donations to keep this site going, the affiliate links and advertisers have come up short and I’m now turning to you, the Cup Scene visitor for help.

The guy you see at the intersection with the cardboard sign begging for help? Yeah, right now that’s me. (Although I promise you I shower on a semi-regular basis and I won’t spend your money on cheap wine!).

So buddy can you spare a dime? Or a dollar, or two?

I can promise you that I will do everything in my power to keep the Cup Scene going and if that means I actually do stand at an intersection with a sign then maybe I will.
