From the Editor:

Welcome to the Cup Scene Daily.

The site your visiting is run by one person: Me.

I am in no way affliated with any group, organization or sanctioning body.

I live in Orlando Florida, I'm "40ish", happpily married for 25 years with two kids: a 9 year old future Nextel Cup Champion boy and a 16 year old future diva girl.

To this end, I've recently been asked by several readers how they can help to support this site.

Simple.

1. All the ads you see on the site are for third party vendors. When you buy something on the site, on the main page or from the The Raceshop I get a commission from 2-7%. In the years I've been doing this, these commissions have never amounted to too much although some months they do pay for the cost of hosting this site.

2. You can make a donation through "PayPal". It doesn't have to be much, but whatever you could throw my way would be appreciated.

You can also support this site by simply getting the word out, the more visitors I get the better. Knowing my hard work is being seen by the world is on of the best ways to help this site.

As for the concept of the Daily, which I developed over the past few years is simple: put all the news on one page. All a reader has to do is scroll down and read all of the NASCAR news I've written and collected.

My thought is that people don't want to keep moving from page to page to page in order to read a story, so I put all the stories on one page, with the exception of stories from other places, in which case I've provided a few paragraphs of the story because I found that in my experience I would visit other portals, see a headline only to click on that headline, wait for the page to open then find out that the headline really didn't link to a story I was interested in. This frustration prompted me to create the concept of the Cup Scene Daily where you can see a few paragraphs of the story then decided if you want to read the whole article. The full articles on the page are kept short so the page doesn't become too long.

And while this concept makes for one long page, I feel that you,the reader based on feedback I've received and my experience, is better served.

As for myself I'm in the process of retiring from the US Army after 23 years (a 14S for you that know what I mean) served in Operations, Just Cause, Desert Shield/Storm and most recently Enduring Freedom, I have raced modifieds and street stocks in the past and have been around NASCAR all my life . I am a published, award-winning writer(pardon the shameless self promotion) and originally from Kernersville North Carolina.

So there's the secret: no big staff, except for Thom Bittner, the talented writer who handles the Fantasy Racing page, just little old me.
